Talking Shop - Call for Papers

Dear Members,

A Call for Papers.

NAHEMI’s Talking Shop: Reconnecting Through Sharing Good Practice.

This year we will host our annual event Talking Shop, in person, at the UAL, London College of Communications, on July 1st.

We invite proposals for 15-20-minute presentations, a Pecha Kucha, a panel, or other forms of presentations for this event on the following themes, or similar, in fact, any area you think pertinent to your teaching or research in filmmaking will be considered. There is a possibility of publication. Please send a brief outline of approximately 250 words to Jeremy Bubb, plus a short description of the presenter(s) to chair@nahemi.org. to reach me by 10th June 5.00 pm

I am pleased to announce that Cathy Greenhalgh, an independent researcher in Film and Television, will talk about her research: ‘Skin Tones and Faces: Cinematography Pedagogy which Foregrounds Inclusivity and Diversity in Teaching Lighting’. I am also expecting a speaker from RTS Educational events to talk about their planned events for the coming year.

The day will start with the NAHEMI AGM, where we vote on the Executive membership, discuss the association’s work for this year and look to the coming twelve months. If you want to get involved in NAHEMI please attend.  This will be followed by lunch, talks, and a wine reception.  This is a free event, and all members from paid-up universities and film schools are welcome.
