We are delighted to announce our call for submissions to THE NAHEMI NATIONAL STUDENT FILM AWARDS competition.

NAHEMI will be presenting national awards for:

NAHEMI Best Overall Student Film
NAHEMI Best Undergraduate Student Film
NAHEMI National Cinematography Award
NAHEMI National Sound Award
NAHEMI National Editing Award
NAHEMI National Creativity Award

To submit films, please read the following instructions carefully:

Each institution may submit a TOTAL of 20 minutes worth of films for consideration, with a MAXIMUM of THREE films submitted from any one institution.

1) Please email with the following details:

Name of institution / film titles with running times / contact details of lecturers & student filmmakers / one line synopsis.

2) Please login and set up an account on Filmfreeway to upload films (these need to be of screening quality) and appropriate submission details, including jpeg / one line synopsis / name of institution / director and crew / student contact details.

Once you have done this, then go to the following private link on Filmfreeway to submit to the NAHEMI account via the link below.

It’s really important that these instructions are followed carefully and if details are missing the film will probably be disqualified as we will not be chasing details.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 10th December 2021.

The Voting/Selection Panel will take place over the Xmas holidays and prize winners will be announced on December 31st.

We will also be placing 90 minutes of the best films into the NAHEMI Official Selection Showcase which will be distributed nationally and at film festivals throughout 2022. Each film selected for the showcase will also receive an award.

To qualify:

Your films must have been completed in 2021.

Your institution must belong to NAHEMI.

Good luck!

NAHEMI Executive,
Chair of the National Student Film Awards
