NAHEMI ‘TALKING SHOP’: Call for Presentation Proposals

‘Talking Shop’ is our annual forum for presenting and discussing members’ recent developments in teaching practice. To date, we have had some great talks about new courses, seen some innovative films and, as many of you know, its a great opportunity for catching up on all sorts of things and swapping news.

We are seeking abstracts for consideration for presentations at Talking Shop this summer.

Please send 150 words to outline your ideas for a 20 minute presentation or a 6 minute Pecha Kucha presentation on any of the following themes:

  1. Best Kept Secrets in your Teaching Practice
  2. Environmental Sustainability
  3. Closing the Attainment Gap
  4. Digital Futures

The deadline for proposals is 29 March 2019. Please email: and

NAHEMI AGM and Talking Shop will be in London on Friday 28 June 2019 (venue tbc)
Please put this exciting event in your calendar!

This year we will be screening NAHEMI Eat Our Shorts at the Watersprite Student Film Festival 2019.  Our member institutes have had the opportunity to submit up to 10 minutes of student work to be screened at this prestigious event. We are now putting together an incredible programme of short films.

All NAHEMI member film students are invited to attend the screening on Thursday 7 March 2019, in Cambridge.

Tickets are free but limited, so please sign up as soon as you are sure you are attending.

Please encourage your students to come along. We are excited to be screening films and animations from 21 member institutions this year, and there is a free evening drinks reception for developing new networking opportunities.

You can book your tickets on the following Eventbrite: EAT OUR SHORTS SCREENING

We look forward to seeing you there!
